Costa Concierge Glasses is a hands-free Costa del Sol local guide: point the camera at a
landmark, menu or sign and get an identification, a translation, or general local tips
— bilingual English/Spanish.
What we collect
No account or sign-in is required to use this site.
Each time you use Identify, Translate or Nearby, the camera frame for that request
is sent to our AI provider to generate the answer shown to you. Nothing is stored on
our servers afterwards — there is no server-side database behind this app.
The “read aloud” option only controls your own device's speech playback and does
not send anything anywhere.
Every page load sends a minimal, first-party page-view signal (the page path, the referring page, an anonymous per-tab session id generated in your browser, and this product's name) to our own analytics endpoint, so we can see which pages get used. It sets no cookies, is skipped entirely if your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, and is not shared with any outside analytics company.
Cloudflare, our hosting provider, processes standard connection logs to keep the
site secure.
Honest scope
Recommendations are general, type-of-place guidance grounded in what the camera can
see — never a fabricated live listing, price, opening time, rating or business name we
can't actually verify from the image.
Why we process it, and on what basis
Legitimate interests — running the assistant you actively triggered, and
keeping the site secure.
Who we share data with
Cloudflare — our hosting/edge network, which processes standard connection logs (IP address, browser type, request timestamps) to serve the site securely.
Anthropic — the AI provider that processes the photo/text you submit for that specific request, to generate the response you asked for.
How long we keep it
We don't keep the photos or answers after the request that generated them — there is
no database in this app to store them in. Cloudflare keeps connection logs per its own
standard operational retention.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you;
have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased in certain circumstances;
restrict or object to our processing; receive data you gave us in a portable
format; and withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it. To use any of
these rights, email info@pharoahtechnology.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the
UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk
or on 0303 123 1113 — though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
This is a standard-form policy describing how Costa Concierge Glasses actually
works today, generated from the product's own code and configuration. It is provided
for transparency, is not legal advice, and publishing it does not by itself make
Costa Concierge Glasses or Pharoah Technology “compliant” with UK GDPR or any other law —
that depends on our practices continuing to match what's written here.
